Costume Quest 2

Costume Quest 2 is Double Fine's follow-up to its candy-obsessed Halloween RPG. Wren and Reynold return to defend the holiday across spooky time-traversing landscapes, with adorable new costumes that transform into powerful Hallo-warriors when combat starts.

The villains this time are hygiene-obsessed dental soldiers and their grown-up superiors, working to abolish Halloween permanently. Creepier Treat Cards added to the deck system give players new combat options, and the costume designs again drive both world traversal and battle abilities.

The sequel expands on the original's mechanics with deeper RPG progression while keeping the family-friendly tone intact. Inspired sibling banter and writing carry the comedic load between fights, and the game stays accessible to all ages without dumbing down the strategic decisions.
