Element TD 2 - Tower Defense

Element TD 2 is the standalone evolution of one of the most-downloaded tower defense mods of the past two decades. The original mod racked up over five million downloads across WarCraft 3, StarCraft 2 and Dota 2, and the developers spent fifteen years iterating on the formula before releasing the standalone sequel. The combinatorial element system is the centerpiece: six base elements blend in pairs to produce 59 unique towers, each with its own role on the battlefield.

The single-player campaign currently spans 28 missions across 26 maps in distinct biomes, with 55 waves per round culminating in an endless boss for players who survive everything else the map throws at them. Ten modifiers can be layered on to change the rules — increased difficulty, altered economy, restricted tower selection — for replay variety beyond the base curve.

Multiplayer is where the game stretches its legs. Co-op supports up to eight players coordinating elemental choices and tower placement against waves that scale with the player count, while competitive modes cover both 8-player free-for-all and 1v1 ranked ladders with global leaderboards. Replay support, hundreds of achievements, unlockable cosmetics for the builder character, and global servers with cross-region matchmaking round out the package.
