About The Zachtronics Solitaire Collection
Over the years Zachtronics quietly built up a habit of tucking small, fully designed solitaire variants inside their main puzzle releases. The Zachtronics Solitaire Collection gathers seven of those minigames, redrawn in 4K, and adds one new variant designed for the package — Fortune's Foundation, played with a deck of Tarot cards that hands you a reading when you win.
The seven returning games are wildly different in flavor. Shenzhen Solitaire takes FreeCell rules and runs them through a three-color mahjong deck. Sigmar's Garden is a tile-matcher pulling alchemical symbols from Opus Magnum. Proletariat's Patience asymmetrically groups cards by suit and color at the same time. Kabufuda Solitaire uses traditional Japanese kabufuda cards and unlocks free cells when you finish a set. Cluj Solitaire lets you cheat — placing cards wherever you like — but punishes carelessness. Cribbage Solitaire scores by Cribbage rules using a Cold War aircraft recognition deck. Sawayama Solitaire is a more strategic, more winnable take on Klondike.
There is no metaprogression or campaign here — each variant is its own self-contained puzzle and the collection is meant to be dipped into rather than consumed. Anyone who already played through the original Zachtronics releases will recognize most of these as the things they kept loading the game up just to play.
