About Morphblade
Morphblade is a tactical action puzzler set on a small hex grid. Every tile you move onto changes the shape of your attack: Blades slice the two enemies beside you as you move, an Arrow plunges you through an enemy and out the other side, a Hammer holds you in place to crush whatever stands in front, and Acid strips armoured enemies. Repair tiles heal you when you step onto them, and Teleport tiles whisk you anywhere on the board.
Between waves, you decide which hexes appear and which to upgrade. Each tile type cross-breeds with every other type, layering effects on top of each other. An Arrow upgraded with Acid kills armoured foes mid-flight, a Hammer with Blades takes out three enemies at once without moving, and a Teleporter with Repair heals you on every jump. Stack upgrades and you can build an Arrow that travels infinite range, kills everything in its path, penetrates armour, knocks back nearby enemies, heals you on impact, and doubles as a teleporter.
The core idea of tile-defined weapons was inspired by Michael Brough's iOS game Imbroglio, which Morphblade was developed and released with his permission.
