About Decisive Campaigns The Blitzkrieg from Warsaw to Paris
Decisive Campaigns: The Blitzkrieg from Warsaw to Paris is the first in an innovative series of operational World War II wargames that also include a strategic element. From the team behind the award-winning Advanced Tactics: World War II, it uses a new and improved engine to focus on the decisive early days of the war, simulating Germany's military successes in Poland and France in 1939 and 1940, including a hypothetical Sea Lion invasion of Great Britain if you do well enough.
The game is well researched and packed with depth, including detailed unit data down to the squad and vehicle level and historically realistic combined-arms gameplay, all behind an easy-to-learn interface and a ferocious AI. Before each campaign, you choose strategic-level actions and options that can have far-reaching effects on how the battle unfolds, opening up many plausible hypothetical outcomes.
Once in battle, you move regiments and divisions, coordinate attacks and manage logistics, with unique action cards for individual historical generals to give a front the extra push to victory. It features thoroughly researched scenarios with what-if options, a continuous campaign linking all three scenarios, historical orders of battle for the Dutch, Belgian, French, British, Polish and German armies, officers represented at corps level with biographies and stats, realistic logistics, and a team-play option letting up to nine people split the Axis or Allied armies in PBEM.
