Pit People

Pit People is The Behemoth's strategic turn-based co-op adventure, fourth in a lineage that includes Castle Crashers and BattleBlock Theater. The game blends the studio's signature animated humor with a serious turn-based combat system built on positioning, unit synergy, and the kind of tactical decision-making that fast-paced fights actually reward. The result is a game that's both genuinely funny and mechanically dense.

A full cast of tragically unique heroes rises together from the Pit. Master your destiny by plotting their course of action across an apocalyptic wonderland, recruiting strange species along the way — from sinister robots to deadly vampires to brutally adorable cupcake people, the world is hostile in surprising ways. Each unit type fills a tactical role, and combining them in your party is the central long-term meta.

Over 1,500 unlocks and more than 100 quests and missions cover the bulk of the content. Single-player Story Mode runs solo, while 2-player co-op story (local and online) lets you team up across the campaign. Local 2v2 Arena handles competitive play between friends, and four players can join 2v2 In The Pit online for the most chaotic version of the gameplay.

A permadeath mode is offered for players who want extra challenge — dead characters are dead forever, can't be brought back even if you need them to complete the story, and your saved game gets permanently destroyed if you run out of characters in your house.
