About Aquarist
Aquarist is a calm sandbox simulation about becoming the master of your own aquatic world. You design and manage aquariums across varied levels, caring for fish, sea turtles, sharks, octopuses and more. The aquarium is their entire world, so you control temperature and feeding to keep every creature healthy and content, learning their behavior and taking responsibility for their lives.
Customization runs deep. Shape every part of your underwater paradise, from size and layout to decorations and inhabitants, building anything from a blooming green oasis to a display of antique busts, and you can even set one of your own photographs as the background. Running an aquarium shop adds a business layer: clients hand you difficult tasks, and their rewards fund new fish, exotic plants and bigger premises.
The job description is broad, part conservationist, ecologist, biologist and pool cleaner at once. You tend freshwater and saltwater species, from ordinary goldfish to octopuses, shrimp, cuttlefish, rays and arapaima. Ocean expeditions uncover new species and hidden treasures, while quests unlock rare animals and advanced gear. Outlandish commissions keep things varied, from a turtle tank in an art museum to a piranha aquarium built into a kitchen.
