About Divide By Sheep
Divide By Sheep is a math puzzler with a darkly comedic story attached. The Grim Reaper, lonely as eternity gets, has decided to make some friends. The complication is that he can only befriend the dead — which is why he's unleashed a great flood to drag sheep into his company. The flood has stranded the surviving sheep on small, sinking islands, and your job is to save the appropriate number while accepting that some math problems require subtracting.
The puzzle layer runs on addition and subtraction by any means available, with the central mechanic being that cutting a whole sheep in half with a laser produces two halves — which counts toward the target number you need to send off the level. Starting with playful early puzzles that introduce the rules gently, the difficulty curve escalates quickly into genuine mind-benders that demand careful planning before any sheep get moved. Lasers, wolves, pigs and the Reaper's pet kraken all become tools or threats as the rules expand.
120 puzzles spread across four worlds, each with its own visual identity, give the game serious replay-value depth despite the cartoony simplicity of the early screens. The dark humor is fair warning — the game ships with parental controls that can disable blood for younger audiences, and the developers explicitly suggest using them before passing the keyboard to kids. The art style escalates from cute to genuinely disturbing in lockstep with the math, which is part of the joke.
