Gray Matter

Gray Matter is a mystery adventure from Jane Jensen, the writer behind the Gabriel Knight series. After a tragic accident, neurobiologist Dr. David Styles has become a recluse who rarely leaves his home, Dread Hill House, until street magician Samantha Everett turns up on his doorstep just as he is looking for a new assistant.

Samantha's first task is to recruit six people to form The Lamb's Club, a group of human subjects for Styles' experiments at Oxford University. The experiment begins innocently enough, but a chain of inexplicable incidents soon follows, raising the questions the game turns on: what is the true aim of Styles' research, and what secrets are waiting to cross over from the other side?

Told in a gothic-novel style across eight large chapters, the game lets you play as both Styles and Samantha, combining science with the supernatural and Jensen's trademark emphasis on character and story into a paranormal mystery that holds its grip to the end.
