IL-2 Sturmovik 1946

IL-2 Sturmovik: 1946 collects the entire run of Oleg Maddox's WWII air combat simulator series into one anthology: IL-2 Sturmovik: Forgotten Battles, the Ace Expansion Pack, Pacific Fighters, and the alternate-history campaigns of 1946. The result is 229 flyable aircraft and over 300 aircraft in total, with the latest community-maintained update (4.12.2) adding widescreen support and additional content.

The new aircraft list adds 32 flyable fighters and bombers plus four AI-only planes. Maps cover the Kiev region, a Manchurian border map between USSR, China and Japanese-occupied Korea, a large Burma map, and an online Khalkhin Gol / Nomonhan map. Nine new campaigns add nearly 200 missions, with detailed careers for fighter and bomber pilots across German, Soviet and Japanese air forces.

Three of the nine campaigns explore alternate history, depicting hypothetical 1946 battles between USSR and Germany with the war still ongoing. Both factions field advanced jet and rocket fighters modeled with the same accuracy as the historical aircraft. Nearly 1,000 new paint schemes cover historical squadrons and individual aircraft across the entire roster, supporting deep collector interest in specific WWII units.
