Intrusion 2

Intrusion 2 is an action platformer set on a reserve planet that a hostile military corporation has occupied to conduct forbidden weapon research. The game draws directly from classic 16-bit sidescrollers, combining their fast-paced action with modern physics and procedural animation.

Nine huge action-packed levels carry the campaign, each one stuffed with highly interactive environments that the physics engine bends, breaks, and throws around you. Enemy behavior is based on the same physics and procedural animation that drives the player character, so even routine encounters look unpredictable as ragdolls react to every shot.

Three multistage boss battles act as the major test points, and three difficulty modes layer on more enemies and dangers when set to hard. Destructoid scored it 9/10, calling it some of the most fun the reviewer had had with a game that year and predicting it would go down as one of the best sidescrolling shooters of all time.
