About Make Way
Make Way is a top-down multiplayer racer that channels Mashed and Micro Machines into a course-building format borrowed from Ultimate Chicken Horse. Players grab track pieces from a pick-and-mix menu and snap them together to build a course, then race on it. After each round, you add new pieces, making the course bigger and more chaotic with every lap.
Up to six racers compete simultaneously, with weapons (goo cannons, Tesla coils, mallets) and obstacles (barriers, boost pads, train crossings, helter skelters) shaping each engagement. Checkpoints serve as respawn points, so getting blown off the track isn't a run-ender but does reset progress. Hazards and safety barriers can be toggled via customizable rulesets, letting the same group calibrate the chaos level.
Unlockable track pieces and vehicles expand build options as you progress, and cross-platform multiplayer (same screen or online) connects players regardless of platform. The solo developer behind the project previously worked on Toybox Turbos and the Micro Machines series, lending the project authoritative top-down racing pedigree.
