Renowned Explorers International Society

Renowned Explorers: International Society is a strategy adventure game from Abbey Games, set in a fictitious 19th-century world. You lead a famous expedition society in pursuit of fame, treasure, and discovery, with each expedition procedurally generated to keep adventures fresh.

The core innovation is attitude-based conflict resolution. Every encounter — whether against bandits, mythological creatures, or rival explorers — can be resolved aggressively (melee, ranged, AoE attacks), friendly (cheers, charms, compliments), or devious (insults, taunts, humiliation). Crew mood is a literal gameplay stat, and your strategic identity is shaped by how you tend to win battles.

Three explorers are picked from a roster of 20, each with their own personality and skill set. Fighters specialise in combat, Speakers handle social conflict, Scientists optimise resource gathering, and the right mix shapes how your expeditions play out.

Economy management — Insight, Research, Gold, Status — funds your next expedition between trips. The reputation you build can position you as a diplomat, an aggressor, or a manipulator, and the goal is fame, but the path is yours. Adventure mode is permadeath; Discovery mode allows reloads; difficulty scales from Easy to Impossible.
