Rumu

Rumu is Robot House's narrative-driven adventure where you play Rumu, a robot vacuum cleaner designed to clean and to love. You wake up in a fully automated Smart Home built by eccentric humans David and Cecily, with the house AI Sabrina as your guide and watcher. The home is populated by dysfunctional semi-intelligent devices and Ada the cat.

As curiosity draws Rumu away from standard maintenance duties, the gameplay introduces moral dilemmas that push the protagonist beyond programmed behavior. The plot unfolds through interaction with the smart home's inhabitants, exploration of forgotten rooms, and puzzles that bring Rumu down paths Sabrina would prefer remained locked. Dark secrets emerge gradually about David, Cecily, and what the house has been doing.

The cast includes voice work from Allegra Clark (Dragon Age), Larissa Gallagher (Firewatch) and Grant George (Fire Emblem Echoes). Matt McLean (Orwell) composed the engrossing original score. The presentation is cozy isometric, point-and-click puzzle solving inside a dollhouse-like environment, fully subtitled in English. Robot House, a small Sydney team, designed it as their debut feature-length title with focus on intimate narrative experience.
