Shadow Tactics Aiko's Choice

Aiko's Choice is the standalone expansion Mimimi Games returned to make several years after Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun shipped. The campaign centers on Aiko, the geisha-disguising kunoichi from the main game, whose former sensei Lady Chiyo reappears from the shadows to drag her back into a past she thought she'd left behind.

The full assassin team returns: Hayato with sword and shuriken, Mugen the heavy samurai, Yuki with traps and decoys, and Takuma the wise sniper with his pet companion Kuma. Three full main missions in new Edo-period environments — hidden forest camps, lively port towns — plus three shorter interludes round out the package.

Mechanics carry over intact from the original: stealth-tactics in real time, Shadow Mode for synchronized strikes, non-lethal or lethal options for almost every takedown, multiple solutions to every infiltration scenario. Three difficulty levels match the spectrum of player familiarity. You don't need to own the base Shadow Tactics to play it, though Mimimi recommends a few missions of the original to feel out the controls and the cast.
