Nothing here is automated, no shoot button, no puck stuck to the stick, no random rolls, so winning the puck, passing, shooting and outplaying the other team rests entirely on you and your teammates. Play with friends or join up with other Slapshot players in matchmaking solo, in a duo or a trio, or in custom games of up to 12.

The game is free to play and is set to stay that way, with cosmetic items available to buy or earn through play and events, and a fair playing field online at all times. You can rise up the leaderboard rankings and prove yourself the finest player around, get involved in Slapshot leagues worldwide, and dress up your Slapatar with no end of cosmetics, hats, hairstyles, gloves, glasses and more.

Training modes take in every part of the game and chart how your skills improve as you top your old high scores. Away from the pressure of a match, you can hang out at The Pond, roaming around with others online to practice passing plays, play air hockey or join a sumo minigame, even while waiting for matchmaking.
