Space Invaders Extreme

Space Invaders Extreme brings Taito's franchise update to PC with improved graphics and audio. Sixteen stages each pack devious attack patterns and bosses that adapt their strategies based on the difficulty you select, with countless hidden bonuses rewarding players who learn the scoring system inside out.

The presentation hinges on interactive sound. Visuals sync to a vibrant electronic soundtrack so that scoring well becomes a percussive experience - the game scores you and you score it back. Free Play lets you drill individual stages, then Arcade Mode tracks your runs against the global community.

The Steam release adds a new World Ranking System for Arcade Mode, turning the leaderboard into the long tail of the experience. Several new tracks join the original soundtrack lineup, including contributions from Yu Shimoda, Cosio and Shohei Tsuchiya of Zuntata.
