The Station

The Station is a science-fiction mystery played in first person, set aboard a station that was sent out to observe an intelligent alien race. You play a recon specialist, and what you piece together here will settle the future of two civilizations.

When a sentient alien race was discovered, one challenging everything known about biology, physics and religion, it was found in the middle of a civil war. Judging the rewards worth the risks, an undetectable station with a three-person crew was deployed to research the culture and seek a path to peace. When contact with that crew was lost, you were sent to find out what happened, and what you turn up will unsettle how you think about surveillance, empire and moral law.

The future here holds a progressive attitude toward information, so talk, written notes, even computers, all of it plays out in full augmented reality, and these AR logs let you piece together what was taking place on board. When a door will not open, intuitive problem-solving is the way through, the station itself is a puzzle. The best stories are shown rather than told, and each room has its own moment to share for a keen eye.
