About Tick Tock A Tale for Two
Tick Tock: A Tale for Two traps you and a friend in an eerie world created by the skillful clockmaker Amalie Ravn. Both players play on separate devices (PC, Mac, iOS, Android, or Nintendo Switch) and see only part of the puzzle. The only way out is talking through what each of you can see and combining the information across both screens.
The atmosphere draws on Scandinavian fairytales: hand-drawn art across an old clock shop, rooms with creaky floorboards, dark basements. Average playtime is around 2.5 hours, and the controls are designed to be simple enough that anyone can join the adventure (the difficulty is in the communication, not the inputs).
Cross-platform play lets two players sit on different devices or in different places entirely. The Discord (OtherTales) helps find a partner if one isn't already available. Supported by the Danish Film Institute's Games Scheme, the project leans into a quiet, intimate two-person experience rather than a competitive or branching narrative.
