Witch Hunt

Witch Hunt is a challenging horror-themed hunting game set in the 18th century. You play a witch hunter contracted to eliminate the evils settled in the woods near the town of Bellville. The main focus is exploration, non-linearity, and atmosphere, with lite RPG elements layered on top in the form of a financial system and a skill system.

The gameplay leans toward patient, deliberate hunting rather than action. Stalking, listening, and waiting matter as much as aiming. Weapons, magic, and other tools can be found in the woods or bought in town, supporting a variety of approaches to the various creatures that inhabit the area.

The developer is upfront about the experience: hunting requires patience and perseverance, and if those aren't your strongest qualities, the game may feel frustrating. Large environments, variety of creatures, suspenseful and creepy atmosphere, challenging difficulty, and gamepad support for 50 controllers round out the package.
