XING The Land Beyond

XING: The Land Beyond is an atmospheric first-person puzzle adventure set in the afterlife. You have died, and your journey is only beginning, since by reading the epitaph on a gravestone you transport yourself into the life of the departed, following forgotten stories across a series of mysterious lands filled with the thoughts and personalities of those long lost.

The afterlife here is peaceful and non-combative. You collect artifacts, uncover secrets, and solve a wide range of environmental puzzles that ask for logic, creativity and mastery of your surroundings, all at your own pace with no time pressure. As the journey unfolds you learn to harness the sun, the rains, the snow and more, controlling the weather and an integrated day-night cycle to reach your goals. The story is told through poetry, and the game was built with accessibility in mind, accommodating color-blindness and deafness.

XING also offers full virtual reality support for HTC Vive and Oculus Rift, with two distinct movement options: a comfort-focused motion-controller system the developers call reins, and a more traditional analog-stick scheme for motion controllers and gamepads alike.
