Anarcute

Anarcute hands you not one character but a whole crowd of cube-shaped rioters in animal headgear, and the more rioters you gather, the harder you hit. Move the mob with one stick, fight with another; the herd snakes through streets, picks up everything not bolted down and chucks it at corporate goons.

Get the crowd big enough and entire buildings come down, dropping rubble on Spider Robots, electric turrets, lasers and helicopters that the Brainwash Patrol throws at you. Five cities (Tokyo, Paris, Reykjavik, Miami and one more) each carry their own palette, music and architecture, and special unlockable abilities trigger from the crowd directly.

The studio Anarteam tuned the chaos around traversal flow rather than precision, so the focus is reading the street and routing the mob, not landing single hits. Animal heads collected during runs let you reskin the rioters into bears, foxes, frogs and cats.
