Beholder 2

Beholder 2 shifts the original game's surveillance-landlord premise into a sequel set at the central Prime Ministry of the same totalitarian state. You start as an intern at the bottom of the career ladder, with paths open in multiple directions: become a diligent officer decorated by the Wise Leader, claw upward as a hardline careerist destroying anyone in your way, or work as a whistleblower exposing the regime's corruption from inside.

Daily work involves completing paperwork, attending meetings, schmoozing colleagues and spying on your boss when opportunity arises. Each interaction shifts your standing in the various Ministry power structures, and the choices accumulate into vastly different career arcs and endings. The Ministry itself is a small but densely simulated environment, with NPCs whose schedules and weaknesses can be tracked and exploited.

The writing leans hard into dystopian satire familiar from the original Beholder. Warm Lamp Games preserves the dark humor while shifting the gameplay from apartment-block surveillance to bureaucratic-ladder climbing. The choices made early ripple into the late-game scenarios, with multiple endings hinging on how you balance personal advancement against systemic complicity.
