About Bendy and the Dark Revival
Bendy and the Dark Revival continues the cursed-animation-studio horror of the original Bendy and the Ink Machine, this time from the perspective of Audrey — a new protagonist drawn into the depths of the studio after it has descended even further into nightmare. The setup retains everything that made the franchise distinctive: hand-drawn 1930s cartoon aesthetic, ink-driven enemies, and a studio whose every shadow is hiding something that wants to attack you.
Gameplay layers in more depth than the original. The first-person exploration of a haunted, inkwashed environment now includes upgradeable weapons, expanded sneaking systems, and ink-powered abilities you collect through play. Combat is real but rarely the right answer — many of the studio's inhabitants are stronger than you, and finding the right path through their territory matters more than fighting through it.
A twisted rogue's gallery of re-animated abominations stalks the halls, each with their own patrol patterns and weaknesses to learn. The Ink Demon remains the apex predator — a creature you avoid rather than confront, whose appearances reshape what you can safely do across whatever section of the studio you're in.
The story unfolds through environmental storytelling, audio logs and scripted sequences as Audrey investigates the deepest reaches of the studio's past. The mystery of Joey Drew Studios — who Audrey is, why she's here, and what the ink has done to everyone who came before — is what the gameplay is in service of, and the answers earn the runtime they take to reach.
