BloodRayne Terminal Cut

BloodRayne: Terminal Cut is the definitive edition of the original 2002 action-horror game, enhanced and updated for modern systems by the game's original development team. The campaign places Rayne — a dhampir agent of the secret Brimstone Society — in the years between the World Wars, working as a killing machine against supernatural threats while the rest of the world stays unaware of what stalks its edges.

The story spans two missions five years apart, both eventually revealed as the work of one man. He's spent years searching the world for powerful occult relics to bring about a new age of domination for the Third Reich, and Rayne is the only one with the supernatural lineage and combat training to stop him. The third-person shooter combat covers horrific creatures, hordes of Nazi soldiers with substantial firepower, and every Nazi officer between Rayne and her quarry — with the frenetic register that established the character as an icon of early-2000s pulp action.

The Terminal Cut enhancements target modern hardware specifically. Support for higher display resolutions up to 4K, upscaled cinematic videos, support for modern XInput gamepads, improved rendering with up to 4x anti-aliasing, higher texture resolutions allowing the original uncompressed art to be used directly, and improvements to effects including reflections, water, fog and shadows all come from the original developers rather than third-party touch-ups. The result is the version of the game that should have existed in 2002, finally available.
