AMID EVIL

You stand on a small disc in a featureless void, summon waves of demonic enemies that get worse over time, and try to stay alive for as many seconds as possible. There is no level progression, no campaign, no boss; the score is the time you survived, accurate to fractions of a second. Movement is the heart of the design. The fluid system supports circle-strafing, bunny-hopping, dagger jumps and double jumps with speed boosts that experienced players chain through entire engagements without ever stopping. The magical daggers have two firing modes — a charged shot and a rapid-fire spray — and after harvesting enough demonic crystals from defeated enemies, they upgrade into homing variants that change the spatial calculus of every encounter. Thirteen enemy types each interact with the movement system in their own way, and the leaderboard replay system lets you watch the world's best runs (or your friends') and learn what they're doing differently. The custom engine commits hard to the 1990s software-rendered aesthetic: unfiltered textures, polygon jitter, HDR 3D positional audio with optional HRTF binaural support, procedural decals and a particle system capable of pushing hundreds of avoiding-flocking enemies at once.

Alien Shooter
Alien Shooter is the 2003 top-down arcade shooter from Russian developer Sigma Team that became the founding entry of a long-running series and one of the era's defining horde-shooter templates. The premise is straightforward: a military complex has been overrun by thousands of bloodthirsty alien creatures pouring through teleporters in its mysterious laboratories, and you've been deployed to clear the base at all costs before the invasion spreads. The game's signature scale is the headline feature. Each map contains around 1,000 monsters, with up to 100 visible on a single screen simultaneously, which gives the combat its distinctive intensity even by modern standards. You're given explosives to access the teleporter rooms where the monsters originate, stationary mini-gun turrets to help defend specific positions, and access to the most advanced weapons technology money can buy. Between missions, an arming area lets you equip additional weapons and biomechanical implants that boost your fighting abilities into superhuman territory. The content surface includes 10 missions across the campaign plus a separate survival mode, a male or female playable character, a character upgrade system, nine weapons of mass destruction, and a highly imaginative selection of enemies that ranges from small swarming insectoids to large kinetic threats. Useful gadgets — flashlights for navigating the complex's darker passages, medkits, battle drones — round out the toolkit. A reactive music system adjusts to the intensity of combat, and a red-or-green-blood toggle accommodates the various regional content sensitivities the game launched into.
Boomerang X
Boomerang X is built on a single tool used in three distinct ways. You throw the boomerang to attack; the boomerang freezes time briefly when you aim a new throw; and you can slingshot yourself directly to where the boomerang lands, preserving momentum and effectively flying through the arena. Stringing those three actions together is the entire combat vocabulary. The campaign descends through the ruined halls of an abandoned civilization, where swarms of dark creatures crawl from crevices, dive from treetops, and spray bile from every angle. Standing still ends a run instantly. The boomerang grants new powers as you accumulate stylish trick kills — additional projectiles, secondary effects, expanded mobility options. Dang!'s art direction sits closer to graphic novel than to AAA shooter — flat saturated colors, hard-edged silhouettes, a few key set pieces designed to be screenshotted. The Godpath descends through once-bustling locales sacrificed to hide an older myth, and the question of what lurks at the bottom carries the campaign through to its short, dense conclusion.

Nordic Ashes Survivors of Ragnarok
Nordic Ashes: Survivors of Ragnarok is a Norse-themed roguelite survivor where you fend off hordes of mythological creatures after Ragnarok. Yggdrasil, the Tree of Life, has lost almost all of its energy sustaining the Nine Realms, and only a few heroes survive the End of the World. You play one of them, defending the remains. The character roster covers 10+ playable heroes including Axeldör (Viking warrior), Thyra (fierce ranger) and Hafgrim (master of the elements), each with exclusive skills and weapons. Murder Miners
Murder Miners was the #1 rated Xbox Live Indie Game, brought to PC with weekly community playdates still active. The core gameplay is Halo-inspired with a 3-shot-kill pistol, wall-jumping, unlimited sprint, multi-directional dashing, and alt-fire modes. Spawn-with-weapons or pickup-only options accommodate both modern loadout play and classic arena shooter style. The unique Infection mode starts one player as a zombie tasked with infecting all others. Calling all officers: there's a fashion crime in progress, and Sergeant Des is mobilizing all squad members. Grab your Belt of Justice and Tailormade Sewing Machine, and dispense some Fashion Justice. The core mechanic is matching weapon to crime. Each fashion crime has a fashion solution, and you'll need to choose between weapons carefully to fix each faux pas. Some enemies need a splash of color, others need all their seams taken in. Picking the wrong weapon does nothing, so identifying what each crime actually requires is the moment-to-moment puzzle layered over the shooting. The weapons arsenal includes specialized fashion gear, including weaponized Sock Gnomes. Jump, climb, and swing through Trendopolis to uncover its secrets, take on biggest baddest bosses in the fashion industry, and solve the mystery of the resurgence of fashion crime to take out the villains at the top.

Unreal Tournament 3 marks the return of the world's premier first-person shooter, unleashing the full power of Unreal Engine 3 to take graphics, gameplay and challenge to a new level. You engage in intense battles against other human players online or against industry-standard Unreal AI, wielding the most powerful futuristic weapons and vehicles for FPS action at its best. This release includes the free Titan Pack expansion, which adds a substantial amount of content and enhanced features. The Titan Pack brings 16 new environments across Warfare, vCTF, Deathmatch and CTF, three bonus-pack maps, and the namesake Titan mutator that lets players overwhelm opponents as a 15-foot titan or crush them as a 30-foot Behemoth. Bing in Wonderland
Bing in Wonderland is a roguelite in the Wanba Warriors franchise that strips out exploration and dumps everything into combat density. The game's promise — monster-killing satisfaction galore, no map-poking required — is delivered through a steady cascade of exotic enemies, varied stages, and a deep enough pool of boons, weapons and items to keep build experimentation interesting across many runs. Plus pancakes, fish and abundant pointless details, which the studio is openly proud of. The weapon roster covers bow, spear, cannon, axe and harp, each with its own movement and rhythm, and combat is built around a Butt Slam mechanic that puts the protagonist's lower half front and centre as a primary weapon. Stages mix waves of enemies that fight in distinct ways — thunder shooters, thunder-poop shooters, melee swarms, ranged harassers — and the build interactions you assemble from the deep boon-and-item pool decide whether a given fight is a victory lap or a humiliating reset. The presentation is intentionally abstract. The studio's preferred art descriptor is "vague and abstract enough to put Picasso to shame," which lands somewhere between charm and visual chaos depending on how you receive it. Controller support is solid, post-launch updates have layered on additional levels and weapon DLCs, and the developers are openly building the game with community feedback through their Discord. Whether the game's many small jokes connect for you is most of what determines how much you enjoy the time spent in it.
GOAT OF DUTY
GOAT OF DUTY is a fast-paced multiplayer first-person shooter, and the premise is exactly what it sounds like: you are an armed goat fighting other armed goats. The game keeps things deliberately simple, with no convoluted metagame, no different characters to master and no skill combos, just devilish combat arenas, powerful weapons and fast, intense action, plus a heavy dose of silly humor. Goats make for nimble fighters: they are fast, can climb almost anything and jump very high, giving the deathmatches an old-school, no-nonsense feel of you and your skills against everyone else. Matches support 2 to 10 players across four modes, namely classic free-for-all, Gun Deathmatch, the team-based Herd Wars, and the chaotic Fus Ro Arena. Between fights, crazy goatstumes, goat dances and goat mechanics give you every opportunity to troll your friends when you bleat them in combat. A variety of maps push different playstyles, from a futuristic farm and distant-planet mountains to a desert, a horror well, a space station and a medieval village.
Prodeus
Prodeus is a first-person shooter built deliberately in the lineage of 1990s arena shooters — Doom, Quake, the era of fast movement, no regenerating health, and overpowered weapons — and reimagined using modern rendering technology. The visuals combine modern 3D techniques with retro pixel aesthetics, producing a look that reads as classic in motion while running on contemporary hardware specs. The campaign is hand-crafted by industry FPS veterans and runs across levels designed for nonstop action. Steel yourself for fast and frantic combat, the marketing promises, and the moment-to-moment design lives up to the line. Hordes of chaos-spawned creatures come at you constantly. The arsenal is the genre's classic over-the-top assortment — shotguns, rocket launchers, plasma weapons, all dialed up to demand aggressive movement and tight aim. The gore system is the visual signature. A delightfully demented dismemberment system lets you splatter the walls and alien halls with the blood of your enemies in ways the elder shooters could only suggest. The pixel-based gore is intentionally exaggerated, the impacts are loud, and the dynamic soundtrack by Andrew Hulshult shifts gears to accompany the combat intensity. Frag to the music — the dynamic score literally adjusts to what you're doing. Multiplayer is a substantial part of the package. The campaign supports four-player co-op, and competitive modes include 16-player Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, CTF and more, with the ability to create and share custom game modes. The built-in level editor is genuinely powerful, and the community map browser is integrated directly — instantaneous action with nearly limitless levels to play, with new community content appearing constantly. Prodeus is the boomer-shooter the genre's revival was waiting for, executed with care from every angle.
