About DEVOUR
DEVOUR puts a small team of 1 to 4 players inside a themed location — a farmhouse, a sanitarium, a chapel — each haunted by a different manifestation of the goat demon Azazel. The setup is that members of the Watchers of Azazel performed a ritual that went wrong, and now you need to perform the counter-ritual before your possessed friends drag you to Hell with them.
Your only defense is a UV flashlight; the possessed cultist's speed and rage scales as the match progresses, and the number of fiends spawned alongside her increases with it. Each map has its own randomized layout, item spawns, and locked-door placements, so two runs of the same map don't follow the same path.
Progression is light — Cult Rank levels through play, Ritual Tokens spend on perks that change run-to-run odds — and Nightmare mode exists for the players who have stopped needing the default difficulty. Single-player support exists for those who want to be alone in the dark, and full VR support is included at no extra cost. Sessions last up to an hour and reward careful coordination over twitch reflexes.
