Defense Grid 2 is a deep and refined tower defense game, the sequel to Defense Grid: The Awakening. Its full story-driven campaign runs across 21 dynamic maps that physically shift as you play, forcing constant adaptation, on large open-ended levels where every tower placement carries weight and multiple strategic solutions exist.

Beyond the campaign, the game holds hundreds of replayable challenge mode variants with shifting rules, online co-op for defending together, and competitive player-versus-player multiplayer, so no two battles play the same. Steam Workshop support and powerful level-creation tools let you build and share your own maps.

The Aftermath DLC adds a five-mission story chapter continuing the conflict with Fletcher and Governor Tydell, set on a distant world where enemies can mind-control their own attackers, opening with a fully voiced cinematic. The game also includes full voice localization in Simplified Chinese, Korean, Spanish, English, French and German, alongside improved widescreen support, stability and performance.
