About Dino Trauma
Dino Trauma is a retro first-person shooter inspired by the late-90s titans of the genre: Doom, Quake, Blood, Turok, and Dino Crisis. The setting is a secret laboratory somewhere in Eastern Europe where gore and dinosaurs are the standard scenery — exactly the kind of setup the boomer-shooter revival has been built around.
Three campaign episodes structure the run, each combining 90s-style level layouts (interconnected zones, hidden secrets, key-and-door puzzles) with current standards for movement and feedback. Levels stretch through corridors, vaults, and outdoor zones overrun by prehistoric creatures genetically reanimated by the lab.
The arsenal is the genre's familiar shape: tasers and pistols for the early game, submachine guns and shotguns for the mid-game, grenade and rocket launchers for the big lizards. Gore is generous, and the dinosaur AI is tuned to be aggressive in a way the original Turok handled well.
A small indie release made explicitly as a love letter to the PSX and PC classics that defined the genre. The developer maintains a public Discord with sneak peeks and ongoing dev updates.
