Fallout 2 is the sequel to the critically acclaimed game that took RPGs out of the dungeons and into a dynamic, apocalyptic retro-future. It has been 80 long years since your ancestors trod across the wastelands.

In 2241, the primitive village of Arroyo suffers the worst drought on record, and its elder asks the Chosen One, a direct descendant of the Vault Dweller, to retrieve a Garden of Eden Creation Kit, a device that can create thriving communities out of the post-apocalyptic wasteland. As you search for that kit to save your village, your path is strewn with crippling radiation, megalomaniac mutants and a relentless stream of lies, deceit and treachery, leaving you to wonder if anyone really stands to gain anything from this brave new world.

It is a turn-based tactical Western RPG in which you explore post-nuclear California, mastering your character's skills and traits for survival while coming into contact, through branching dialogue trees, with numerous tribes, factions and micro-civilizations, each with their own virtues, vices and political agendas. Fallout 2 will challenge you to endure in a world whose future withers with every passing moment.
