Fallout 4 comes from Bethesda Game Studios, the team behind The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and Starfield, and it has collected more than 200 best-of awards, including Game of the Year honors from DICE and BAFTA. You play the sole survivor of Vault 111, stepping out into a Boston that nuclear war has scorched to ash, where survival is a constant struggle and every decision shapes what comes next.

The Commonwealth is a vast open world packed with hundreds of locations, characters and quests. You can join factions, broker alliances or go it alone, and the S.P.E.C.I.A.L. system lets you build a character to fit any approach, a smooth-talking diplomat, a hidden sniper or a tank striding through battle in Power Armor, across hundreds of Perks.

Combat mixes real-time gunplay with V.A.T.S., the Vault-Tec Assisted Targeting System, which slows time so you can pick targets with cinematic precision. Scavenging feeds an extensive crafting system: thousands of items in armor, weapons and food, plus entire settlements you can construct and manage. A next-generation engine renders the wasteland, from the blasted forests of the Commonwealth to the ruins of Boston, in dynamic detail.
