Far Cry 5

Far Cry 5 unfolds in Hope County, Montana, a rural community gripped by a fanatical doomsday cult. As a sheriff's deputy, you stand against cult leader Joseph Seed and his siblings, the Heralds, and work to spark a resistance that can free the besieged county. The campaign can be played alone or in two-player co-op across the full open world.

Liberating Hope County means taking the fight to the Eden's Gate cult with a broad arsenal that runs from rocket launchers to shovels, along with muscle cars, ATVs, planes and other vehicles to throw into the conflict. Allies known as the Fangs for Hire join the cause, among them the bear Cheeseburger and the dog Boomer.

The game marks the first appearance of Joseph Seed, the charismatic antagonist who later returns in Far Cry New Dawn and headlines his own DLC, Collapse, in Far Cry 6. Praised on release for its fast-paced action, it remains one of the most acclaimed entries in the series.
