About GTFO
GTFO is a hardcore cooperative horror shooter that swings from gripping suspense to explosive panic in an instant. A team of four prisoners is dropped into a decayed research facility called The Complex, sent by a mysterious captor known as The Warden to complete a series of expeditions that descend, level by level, into the dark.
Cooperation is the whole point. Before each drop, your team chooses gear, weapons and boosters and balances roles, knowing things will go wrong. Many of the creatures lurking in The Complex hibernate as Sleepers, so light, noise and vibration can wake them, and if one detects you, they all do. Until then, survival means moving in careful silence; afterward, it means heavy weaponry, controlled lines of fire, bottlenecks and kill zones, reloading at every chance and putting every last one of them down.
The expeditions are organized into Rundowns, issued as Work Orders, and clearing them rewards your team with cosmetic gear to prove you have been to hell and back. Bots can fill an incomplete lineup, sneaking, gathering and fighting alongside you, but the depth of communication and tactical combat makes GTFO best played with people.
