About Killing Floor 2
Killing Floor 2 picks up one month after the original Killing Floor, with the Zed clone outbreak that started in London having spread across continental Europe and collapsed civilization in its path. Governments are gone, military forces have been systematically wiped out, and the survivors who haven't gone into hiding have organized themselves into privately funded mercenary cells running counter-operations against the clone hot zones.
The core mode is six-player co-op survival across escalating enemy waves — fan-favorite Zeds from the original return with smarter AI alongside new enemies like the rumbling Scrapjack and the towering Khnum. The proprietary persistent blood system is the gore signature of the franchise, sending entrails, severed limbs and blood across the environment as you fight — and the same physics applies in reverse when the Zeds catch you. The Versus Survival mode flips the conceit on its head, with 12 players taking turns playing Humans and Zeds in mirrored matches scored against each other.
The weapon and perk systems carry the long tail. Modern military assault rifles share inventory space with brutal improvised weapons, classic historical firearms and 'Mad Scientist' guns that defy categorization. The expanded perk system offers meaningful talent choices that genuinely change playstyles, brutal melee combat now lets you choose attack types for bone-breaking finishes, and Zed Time returns with kicked-in-slow-motion sequences for the action-hero kill moments. The Deluxe edition adds DJ Scully and a stack of cosmetics, plus a copy of the first Killing Floor.
