About Wolfenstein The Old Blood
Wolfenstein: The Old Blood is a standalone prequel to The New Order. The year is 1946, the Nazis are on the brink of winning WWII, and to turn the tide B.J. Blazkowicz embarks on an epic two-part mission deep within Bavaria. The adventure spans eight chapters and two interconnected stories that build to the main game's setup.
Part one, Rudi Jäger and the Den of Wolves, pits Blazkowicz against a maniacal prison warden as he breaks into Castle Wolfenstein to steal the coordinates to General Deathshead's compound. Part two, The Dark Secrets of Helga Von Schabbs, follows Blazkowicz to the city of Wulfburg where an obsessed Nazi archaeologist is exhuming mysterious artifacts that threaten to unleash dark ancient power.
New weapons include the bolt-action rifle, 1946 shotgun, and grenade-launching Kampfpistole. Dual-wielding metal pipes adds wall-climbing traversal and brutal takedowns. New environments span Germanic towns, sprawling valleys with cable cars, ghostly catacombs, and a return to iconic Castle Wolfenstein. Hulking Super Soldiers, elite shock troops, drones, and darker Nazi creations make the prequel feel as terror-laden as the main series.
