The Complex Expedition

The Complex: Expedition is a short atmospheric horror game built around the Backrooms urban legend. Your team goes into The Complex, the mission unravels, and you're left wandering its endless beige corridors alone.

The whole game is viewed through a VHS camcorder, with chromatic aberration, scan lines, and tape artifacts framing every shot — a familiar visual grammar for fans of analog horror.

Multiple endings and shifting entry points into the maze change what you encounter from run to run. It's deliberately slow-burning: more environmental dread and tension management than active combat, with an unidentified lifeform somewhere in the corridors with you.

The developer notes the game is not officially connected to Kane Pixels' Backrooms series or the Backrooms Wiki, though parts of the experience nod toward them.
