Football Manager 2024 is the most complete iteration of Sports Interactive's long-running football management sim to date. The headline addition is the new Meiji Yasuda J.League licence, which unlocks J1, J2, and J3 League play for the first time in the series — opening Japan as a managerial career destination.

The systemic improvements span the full game. Set Piece Creator overhauls let you build winning routines with the help of new specialized Set Piece Coaches. The Match Engine includes enhancements to player animations, ball physics, and lighting, plus the new Inverted Full-Back player role and more intelligent positional rotation that makes highlights flow better. Transfer market AI is more strategic in recruitment decisions, so squad-building is now a tougher battle for talent.

New Intermediaries help offload surplus players for a cut of the transfer fee, TransferRoom integration brings the real-world football marketplace into the game, and Targets let you motivate players with individual goals. Two new game modes (Real World, which mirrors actual transfer dates, and Your World, which sets squads at the day your career starts) expand the campaign options. International management with revamped National Pool features rounds out the package. Existing FM23 careers can be imported directly.
