Galimulator

Galimulator simulates everything that can possibly happen in a randomly generated galaxy: wars, revolutions, politics, research, and various other bizarre events. Empires conquer stars, build ships, encounter strange space monsters, venture on intergalactic quests, research new technology, swap between expansion and fortification policies, build powerful (or useless) artifacts, and occasionally transcend to unimaginable hyperbliss before something stronger eats them.

Three modes let you choose your relationship with the chaos. Observer mode lets you watch like an aquarium, with empires instead of fish. Sandbox mode hands you full freedom to make empires degenerate, throw meteors at them, or do whatever else you want. Emperor mode puts you in control of your own empire, using your Flagship to boost expansion and defense, building and controlling ships, and managing your Spy network.

The game also tracks dynasties and individual people as they rise from low-level paper pushers to Captains, Ministers, and Emperors. New empires always replace fallen ones, keeping the hypercircle of interstellar life turning whether or not you intervene. A Smatter monster invasion is available if things get too quiet.
