Gloomhaven

Gloomhaven is a tactical RPG and a digital adaptation of the celebrated strategy board game by Isaac Childres. Set in a medieval dark-fantasy world, it has you lead a band of mercenaries through unforgiving dungeons, forests, and caves, selling your sword to city officials or corrupt cultists and carving a way to riches, or dying trying.

You explore in a party of two to four mercenaries, choosing from 17 unique characters, each with their own skills and over 1,000 abilities to master. Before each dungeon you prepare a deck of ability cards, then engage in turn-based combat by selecting two cards per mercenary each turn, using only the top half of one and the bottom half of the other. Cards are a resource as scarce as life points, so watch out for exhaustion.

You hone abilities with enhancements and perks while leveling up and finding new equipment. The branching campaign adapted from the board game spans 95 story missions that pit greed against morality, and the Guildmaster adventure adds more than 160 exclusive digital missions with new storylines, quests, and maps. You can face it all alone or in online co-op for up to four players.
