About Grounded
Grounded sets its survival game in a single suburban backyard, but at insect scale. You're a kid who's been shrunk to the size of an ant, with no clear memory of how it happened and no way home that doesn't involve crossing a lawn that is now effectively a continent. Solo or with up to three friends in co-op, you scavenge fallen acorns and discarded soda cans, build bases out of plant fibers and pebbles, and figure out which of the giant insects sharing the yard you can live alongside and which want you dead.
The map is biome-divided despite the small physical footprint: a sandbox, a pond floor, the cavernous tunnels under the lawn, the inside of a termite den, all wired to feel like distinct environments. MIX.R devices scattered around the yard can be activated to draw creatures toward specific areas — useful for farming, dangerous if you draw the wrong thing toward your base. Bigger creatures will start scouting the player's structures the more the player disrupts the local ecosystem.
Progression handles both the survival fundamentals and the character. Mutations and Milk Molars work as customizable perk systems for tuning your character toward a specific playstyle, while crafted armor and upgraded weapons cover the gear side. Shared Worlds keep co-op campaigns alive across schedules — friends can keep progressing in the same backyard even when the original host isn't logged in. The story plays out as you go: who shrunk you, why the yard has these devices in it, and how, exactly, you go back.
