Volcanoids

Volcanoids swaps the usual static base for a giant steampunk drill. It is an open-world, base-building survival shooter you can tackle alone or with up to three crewmates, exploring an ever-changing volcanic island, expanding your drillship and fighting hostile machines to learn what has been hiding underground.

The island seems abandoned and is cursed by relentless eruptions. Your drillship can travel beneath the surface, which is how you survive those eruptions while you uncover new areas, gather resources and dig into the island's secrets. Mining robots of every shape and size roam both the surface and the depths, and you battle them, seize any useful resources and technology, and wreck the rest.

The drillship is your mobile fortress, customized inside and out through the building system. Progressing through technology tiers lets you upgrade, expand, automate and weaponize its different sections, turning a simple drill into a steadily more capable war machine.
