About Loop Hero

Loop Hero is a small, structurally inventive game from Four Quarters that takes a deck-building card game, an auto-battler, and a settlement-management layer, and weaves them into something whose closest genre analogue doesn't quite exist. The framing: the Lich has thrown the world into a timeless loop, and its inhabitants are stuck in never-ending chaos. A brave hero walks an expedition path automatically. You place cards along that path to create the world they have to traverse.

The cards do everything. Enemy cards spawn monsters that the hero will fight. Building cards generate resources or modifiers. Terrain cards reshape the environment and trigger interactions between adjacent tiles. The strategic tension is that more cards mean more rewards but also more danger, and balancing those trade-offs while the hero walks each loop autonomously is the central skill. Each expedition is randomly generated, no two loops are the same, and the cards in your deck before setting out determine the kind of path you'll be able to build.

Progress between expeditions feeds into a survivors' camp. Hard-earned resources from completed loops translate into permanent campsite upgrades and reinforcements that strengthen future runs. Multiple unlockable hero classes — Warrior, Rogue, Necromancer and several others — each support different deck-building approaches and equipment strategies. A grand saga of unholy guardian bosses anchors the campaign as you work to break the Lich's time loop, with each defeated boss expanding the toolkit available for the next attempt. The pixel-art presentation is restrained and consistent, and the experience runs much deeper than the small-scale visuals initially suggest.
