Ice Lakes is an ice fishing simulator that takes a sandbox-style approach to wintertime angling. Realistic physics, a fish behavior system and a broad selection of gear and locations drawn from around the world give the niche subject unusual depth, and the whole game can be played with or without a VR headset.

Success depends on reading each spot, since depth maps, bottom topology, season, time of day and weather all shape how fish behave, and the right jigs, rods, augers and baits depend on those conditions. Controlling the rod and jig at the correct depth is a skill in itself, and a fish AI with swarm behavior governs roughly 30 species, with fish fights adding tension to every catch.

You can fish freely without time limits for a relaxing session, or test yourself in lengthy tournaments and customizable competitions that reward equipment and fame. The package includes 23 open-world maps, 35 fish species, 18 competition modes, 18 tournaments, a Battle Royale mode, character customization and multiplayer for up to 32 players over online or LAN, with online leaderboards and ongoing free content updates.
