About Indiana Jones and the Emperor's Tomb
The Emperor's Tomb is an original Indiana Jones story set in 1935, sending Indy from Ceylon and Istanbul to Hong Kong and the South China Sea on the trail of a powerful artifact that several factions are willing to kill for. The villains stack up across both familiar territory and new ground — Nazi agents on one side, the Asian underworld on the other — and the supporting cast includes a new love interest pulled into the chase alongside him.
Where the game distinguishes itself from earlier Indy adaptations is in the addition of a proper brawler layer. The whip and pistol are still there, but Indy can now throw punches in close quarters, grapple martial-arts-trained enemies, and pick up shovels, chairs, table legs and similar furniture as improvised weapons. The result feels closer to the films' rhythm — exchange of blows in confined spaces, then back to running.
Set pieces lean hard into the film register too. A rickshaw chase tears through Hong Kong; a sequence in the South China Sea has Indy duking it out on top of moving gondolas; tomb interiors layer climbing, swimming and platforming on top of the fights. The game ages to its era but still holds up as one of the better Lucas-published Indy adventures.
