Istanbul Digital Edition

Istanbul: Digital Edition is the official adaptation of Istanbul, one of the most acclaimed strategy board games ever published and the winner of the 2014 Kennerspiel des Jahres. The goal is simple to state and tricky to execute: be the first merchant to collect a set number of rubies by trading goods across the bazaar.

You lead a merchant and his four assistants through 16 locations in the bazaar, each offering a specific action. The catch is that taking an action means moving your merchant and an assistant to a location and leaving the assistant behind to handle it. To use that assistant again, the merchant must return to collect him, so careful planning is essential to avoid being stranded with no assistants and nothing to do. Along the way you expand your wheelbarrow capacity and acquire special abilities to outpace your competitors.

The digital edition keeps the original's rules intact while adding the conveniences of the platform: play against AI of three difficulty levels with individual strategies, with friends, or both, across pass-and-play and cross-platform online multiplayer with synchronous and asynchronous modes. Preset or randomly generated boards, opponents' move replays, a colorblind mode, over 70 achievements and artwork by Andreas Resch complete it.
