Letter Quest Grimm's Journey

Letter Quest: Grimm's Journey crosses Scrabble-style word forming with turn-based RPG combat. Grimm and Rose, two cute grim reapers, fight ghosts, monsters and evil bunnies by spelling words on a tile grid. Longer and rarer-letter words deal more damage, and bonus tiles stack multipliers.

Monsters fight back through the tiles themselves. Enemies can convert your letters into poison, plague, stone, whirlwind, duplicator, spike or flipped variants, drain your health, heal themselves, or unleash critical attacks. Player counterplay includes crystal tiles with special bonuses, upgradable weapons, books that boost word categories, special items and potions that refresh between battles.

The campaign covers 40 stages across five distinct areas, each with unique art and chiptune music. Four play modes per stage (timed, no vowels, hardest letters required, etc.) extend replay. Over 30 monsters, named bosses with unique mechanics, 70 quests, 52 achievements and roughly six hours of content for a single run. The built-in dictionary covers 190,000 English words, and full keyboard input lets you type instead of clicking tiles.
