About Main Assembly
Main Assembly hands you the roles of designer, engineer and architect: whatever you can picture, you can build. Robots take any form here, from eight-legged spider walkers to unsettling UFO-shaped contraptions, and each appendage can be driven by a visual programming tool that controls every movement.
Once a creation is finished, the world builder lets you put together a brutal obstacle course or racing track, the kind that exposes the design flaws you never knew were there. The visual programming is entirely optional, since the underlying C# is handled for you, but it is there for anyone who wants deeper control.
A single-player mode packs over 100 challenges to put your inventions through their paces, and up to three friends can join in to build worlds together, race each other's bots or smash them into scrap. You can also pull from thousands of bots and worlds shared by fans around the globe, and if you want to find a machine's limits, just send it off a cliff.
