What Lies in the Multiverse

What Lies in the Multiverse is a pixel-art puzzle platformer built around a single mechanic: pressing a button flips the level instantly into its parallel-universe version, and physics keep your momentum. A wall in one reality might be a tunnel in another, an enemy a friend, a chasm a bridge, or gravity might be pointing somewhere unexpected.

The story follows a runaway kid who meets Everett, a charismatic reality-hopping scientist with secrets that grow steadily darker. Their road trip rolls through temples, harbor towns, mountain villages and monasteries, meeting mad scientists, secret agents and enlightened monks along the way.

The tone runs slapstick on the surface and grim underneath, and the puzzle design escalates from one-button flips into chained swaps timed against moving hazards. Hand-painted parallel realities sit on top of a soundtrack by Daniele Coppola, and the game's roughly six-hour campaign keeps the story beats packed.
