Myst III Exile

Myst III: Exile picks up ten years after Riven. Atrus calls you back to his study to show off Releeshahn, a new Age built as a sanctuary for the surviving D'ni. Before he can leave, a stranger appears, snatches the Releeshahn book and vanishes through a linking book of his own.

That stranger is Saavedro, played by Brad Dourif. His vendetta stretches across J'nanin, Voltaic, Edanna, Amateria and Narayan, each Age designed around a different concept that Atrus once taught his sons Sirrus and Achenar. Puzzles read the geography first: route electricity through a desert lab, divert a river along a glass spine, channel wind through a hollow tree.

The 2001 release replaced Myst and Riven's pre-rendered slideshow with full 360-degree panoramic views at every node. Six new worlds, dozens of puzzles and a layered backstory about familial betrayal close out the chapter Presto Studios contributed to the saga.
