Myst returns as a ground-up reimagining from Cyan, the indie studio that created the original 1993 classic. Built in Unreal Engine for both VR and traditional flatscreen displays, the new edition includes fresh visuals across every area, reimagined interactions, new sound, and optional puzzle randomization that keeps the experience unpredictable even for series veterans.

The story begins as you arrive on the starkly beautiful island of Myst. Journey to other long-dormant Ages and unravel the mystery you have been thrust into, slowly learning what happened on the island while playing a key role in an epic story whose ending has not been written. The choices you make affect both you and the world of Myst itself, with a tale of ruthless family betrayal underpinning everything.

VR comfort features include smooth or snap turning, quick travel up stairs and ladders, vertical height quantization, and more. For the first time in Myst's history, the game is available in many languages with localized UI and subtitles. Photo captures replace note-taking, ray tracing and supersampling cover graphics flexibility, and accessibility options support varied play needs.
